I studied at Emporia State University, which is where I earned my bachelor's degree in general studies. This was a self-programmed degree in public relations. I have over twenty years of experience in tutoring students of all age levels. I can help children in preschool, corporate executives, and everyone in between. I believe in tutoring in a one-on-one environment, as this tends to bring quicker results.I enjoy helping students get to those moments where everything suddenly clicks for them. Such moments come when they are finally able to relate to the material that has been giving them so much trouble in the past. I believe that it is my diverse interests that allow me to build a rapport with my students and show them how their assignments can be applied to their lives outside of the classroom.Some of the subjects that I do well in include reading, writing, essay editing, literature, phonics, grammar and mechanics, and test prep. I also excel in math, such as algebra, elementary and middle school math, arithmetic, COMPASS mathematics, and competition math.In my free time, I like to read, hike, do some needlework, and play board games.
